ARSENAL IN LA X ADIDAS ☀️
The dynamic duo, not to be messed with. Chilling at Pre-Season in LA 2019. When Adidas get on the phone 📞 and ask if you want to come to LA to shoot the new Arsenal kit launch - it's impossible to turn down. By following Arsenal on their Pre-Season tour we were naturally restricted to clubs and player schedules for media duties - nevertheless chilling in a Los Angeles villa with Mesut Özil was pretty special and we were also blessed with the opportunity or getting more time with him and his close friend and Arsenal right back Sead Kolašinac.
THE APPROACH 
With Sead and Mesut together our approach was to document real candid moments with the two, using their relationship to lead the creative - while keeping it clean on the bleachers. With individual moments we kept the same relaxed approach, keeping it casual alongside a few more posed shots which were inspired by insights on the player. Most notably asking Sead to tense his biceps as he was arguably the strongest player in the Premier League at that time. However light-hearted on set this image had way more significance a few weeks later, when Sead fought off a knifed robber in an attempted car jacking in central London, protecting his wife, Mesut and his partner in an unbelievable display of courage, of heroic proportions.
